ALEGRA KASTENS, MA, LMFT (she/her)
Director of Practice, Licensed Therapist
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I am currently licensed in California and New York, and Florida for telehealth, seeing clients out of my Los Angeles office. I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and Eating Disorders utilizing evidence-based treatments. My clinical work focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness skills training for adults and adolescents.
Prior to founding the Center for OCD, Anxiety and Eating Disorders, I worked as a psychotherapist at The OCD Center of Los Angeles specializing in the treatment of OCD, BRFB’s, and related disorders across the life span. I also trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with an emphasis on Exposure & Response Prevention, at the UCLA Adult OCD Intensive Outpatient Program, where I assisted in providing hands-on ERP with clients experiencing moderate to severe OCD.
My passion for OCD treatment, education, and advocacy comes from my own personal experience with the disorder. I understand firsthand the relentlessness of OCD and how painfully it holds one’s life captive. I also understand, from the inside out, that relief and recovery are real.

Molly Walters (she/her)
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
I am Molly Walters, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#157690) supervised by Alegra Kastens (LMFT #001932) at The Center for OCD, Anxiety, and Eating Disorders. I obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Based in Southern California, I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and OCD-related Disorders like Dermatillomania and Trichotillomania, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
My clinical work focuses on evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness skills training. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and attachment-based techniques as necessary, and respect each client’s unique story.
My clinical training includes work with young adult populations at community mental health centers, including a psychiatric hospital in Prague. Having prior experience in the medical field, I am passionate about helping clients understand the brain-body connection, equipping them with tools that target both the racing mind and the tense body.
I believe recovery from anxiety and OCD is possible not just in theory, but in lived experience. My role is to guide clients in building a life that feels freer, calmer, and more aligned with their values. Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and practical, rooted in both science and compassion.
Outside the office, I draw inspiration from travel, art, and movement practices like yoga, which I integrate into my work when appropriate. These mind-body tools help clients reconnect with their sense of agency, resilience, and self-trust.
I am seeing clients virtually in the state of California.
